St. Croix has an attractive business climate, particularly with the new series of special tax incentives now available for eligible companies. With allof the infrastructure in place, it is easy to conduct every day business at the modern day pace. The US Postal Office services the Virgin Islands at the same postal rates as stateside. In addition, there are other specialty companies such as Federal Express, DHL and UPS. High speed internet connection is readily available by numerous companies. Also available are satellite dishes as well a comprehensive digital cable service which includes channels such as ESPN, DISCOVERY, CNN and BBC America. Long distance telephone rates are the same as stateside. There are special promotions for international calls which include many of the other Caribbean islands. There are two local newspapers distributed daily which are The St. Croix Avis and the Virgin Islands Daily News. There are several established banks on island with all the modern conveniences such as online banking, drive-thrus and ATM machines. Financing is typically available at comparable stateside rates. The banks will normally require Earthquake and Windstorm insurance with the mortgage.

Education

There are both Public and Private schools on island. Many of the graduates continue onwards to notable colleges including Ivy Leagues. In addition, there are numerous parochial schools ranging in grade levels. The Virgin Islands also offer higher education. Both St. Croix and St. Thomas has a campus for the University of the Virgin Islands. Both campuses have dormitory facilities.
